Well, maybe America’s very own 1980s Spice Girl?

The Go-Gos, an all-female rock band from Los Angeles in the 1980s, are playing multiple venues this summer, including the famous Hollywood Bowl. Despite going into semi-retirement in 1985, this all-female group thrived on the musical wave of the 1970s. Fans know them as a rare all-female group who play their own instruments and write and sing their own songs. It’s a refreshing change from making bands and cookie-cutter bands. The Billboard charts welcome them, and so do their fans.

In summer 2018, Go-Gos will bring the original cast to perform at Oakland’s Fox Theatre, the Humphrey Theater by the Bay and the Hollywood Bowl. Tickets are on sale at The After news of their 2016 “farewell tour” broke, the hit singer appeared on Jimmy Kimmel Live! Indicates that the group is only fully retired. They’re ready to excite fans with hits like “We Got the Beat” and “Our Lips are Sealed,” while the Los Angeles Philharmonic will be led by Musical and Artistic Director Gustavo Dudamel.
