Let Me Show You How I Lost 17Lb, 3.6% Body Fat And Over 8 Inches In 30 Days – My Personal Story

One of the questions I get asked all the time these days is – how can I lose as much weight as you in such a short amount of time? ! I hope in this article to answer that question, let you in on some of the secrets I discovered, and prove to you that you really can have your cake and eat it.

I was introduced to a new diet that my friend Danny Ball has been doing and after seeing how amazing the results he was getting (loss of over 2 stone in 2 months) I Decided to give it a try to see if it would work for me, surgery to start losing fat fast! After the first month, I had lost 3.9% body fat, 17 pounds, and a total of 8 inches.

I guess the quick fat loss surgery was a success.

If there’s one lesson I can share, it’s that a lot of people trying to lose weight are trying to lose weight thinking you need to work hard and have amazing self-control, patience and discipline. I’m proving you don’t need that, the way I do it is not punishment, it’s not hard, only minor changes are required. Small changes can make a huge difference.

Not too long ago, one morning in June 2011, after a martial arts class, my friend Danny started talking to me about a principle called the Minimum Effective Dose and explained how he would start a new diet to get from 203 lbs increased to 175 lbs. Although Danny regularly trains in the gym and practices martial arts, he has been overweight for many years and complains constantly of being dissatisfied with his body. I still find it really cool that small changes in diet can make a huge difference in weight loss and fat loss. The joy of working smarter not harder!

After 4 months on the diet, he had lost over 49 lbs, 12% body fat and a total of 31 inches of height. (waist, buttocks, thighs, chest, biceps)

The thing that shocked me the most about Danny wasn’t just the weight he lost or the amount of time he lost. When I asked how he did it, I figured it must have been a concoction of eating a stick of celery for a day, 23 hours in the gym, taking diet pills, and maybe training with Shaolin monks under a waterfall in the mountains. What struck me the most was how he did it by following 4 simple rules. I counted them as 4 even though he explained it as 5 because one of the rules is that you have to fill your face with garbage once a week on cheat day! Don’t worry, you can also eat as much as you want on diet days. Once again…the joy of working smarter not harder. Now I know a lot of knowledge about the popular diet rules:

Eat more vegetable

eat less fat

Exercise more to burn calories etc.

But these fad diets don’t give people the results they want in the time frame they want. I’m not saying fad diets don’t work, I’m saying succeed, excel, and don’t do what the masses do. We will approach this problem from a different angle. An angle that doesn’t make people say “looks like you’ve lost a little weight”, more like “what are you doing $%^@!?” I’ve never heard of a diet with such drastic results, so I I made it my mission to find out what Danny knew that I didn’t. Here’s what I found..

minimum effective dose

This is the basis for everything we’re going to discuss, and is described as the smallest dose that will give you the most results. For example: the minimum effective dose for boiling water is 100 degrees Celsius, and further boiling will not make the water boil more, it will only be wasted. In the context of weight loss, the lowest effective dose to remember is one that removes stored fat by triggering the fat loss cascade of specific hormones as little as possible. Remember, the lowest effective dose will give you the most noticeable results in the quickest time.

5 rules

Following 5 simple rules, I lost over 17 lbs in 30 days, even though I gained a total of 17 lbs on one cheat day a week.

1. Avoid white carbs – this includes bread, rice, pasta, potatoes, chips, cereal, etc. Anything white that contains carbohydrates is to be avoided like the plague. Do not eat the foods just described unless you want to gain weight.

2. DON’T DRINK THE CALORIES – My only drink is water and I’m aiming for 2 – 3 liters per day. Sometimes I drink a can of Diet Coke because it’s only 330ml and anything over 450ml will stimulate weight gain due to the aspartame levels. Milk, juice, beer, soft drinks or carbonated drinks are not permitted. I don’t drink, but you can have up to 2 glasses of red wine per night, but not more unless it’s a cheat day.

3. Don’t eat fruit – for the simple reason that sugar and fructose = fat storage. Except for tomatoes, which you can eat as much as you want. Avocados are eaten in moderation.

4. Include 3 food groups at each meal – 3 food groups must be eaten at each meal. Protein, legumes and vegetables. It’s important to eat beans to increase your caloric load because you won’t get your calories from carbohydrates.

5. Cheat once a week

This is for two reasons:

1. Prevents metabolism from slowing down due to prolonged caloric restriction.

2. Help make diets sustainable. Remember, you can have your cake and eat it. Just take your time.

That’s all the basics on how I lost 17 pounds in 30 days and continued to lose body fat every day.
