In Wrath of the Lich King in World of Warcraft, several new areas will be added for your game satisfaction. Game creators have worked hard to create more “user-friendly” access when it comes to accessing certain areas within each region. Currently, there is considerable information available on these specific domains. In this guide, I’ll introduce you to a new area in Wrath of the Lich King!
This is a relatively mountainous area in nature. You can find this area in Northrend on the northeast side. It is said that this particular area is relatively harsh in terms of weather as it consists of cold, wind and ice. If you’re interested in meeting a new beast called the Storm Giant in Wrath of the Lich King, this is the place to be. Many dangers await you in this new area. Sheer cliffs, bright sunlight reflecting off the ice, tormenting winds, and powerful, murderous monsters are just some of the dangers.
Dalaran, known as the “magic country”, is located in the south of Lake Lordamere. It’s not uncommon for the area to experience haze, as it’s in an environment known for its low pressure. Naturally, the air is relatively cool and often described as “humid”. The city holds many secrets, and it’s hard to unravel any mysteries surrounding the area. You’ll stumble upon a magical and mysterious dome, as well as many empty paths. You’ll find some troops there, as it’s important that the city doesn’t fall under Scourge control. This is believed to be the northernmost region of Northrend.
ice cap glacier
The popular Icecrown Glacier is located in the area known as Icecrown. As you may have guessed, this is a glacier in the central region of Northrend, a little further north. It is important to note that this is a very dangerous position. This is where the ominous Lich King is stationed. It is also believed to be the center of power in his hands. The Scourge roams this particular glacier in Northrend. You can find the popular Icecrown Citadel here. Here is nothing more than a dead wasteland, made up of ice and snow and the undead.
winter embrace lake
In Wintergrasp, all you’ll find is a huge lake that has turned into solid ice. If you happen to indulge in diving under the ice, you will find water. However, it is believed that the water flowing under the ice will stop at nothing to retrieve the heart of any person or creature it comes into contact with. You can find this mysterious lake in the area south of Wintergrasp.
You can find the Borean Tundra in Northrend on the west side of the continent. Here, you’ll find some terrifying creatures. The undead Scourge and blue dragons are stationed here. In addition, there are Tuskarr, Naga and Drakkari trolls. For the most part, this area is just ice, but you may stumble across unfriendly camps or beasts during your travels in the Borean Tundra. In the eastern part of this particular area you will find small forests. This area also applies to Alliance and Horde.
Dragonblight is a mysterious and foreboding region of Northrend. This is the resting place of dragons when their lives end. It is from this particular area that the plague epidemic that first struck down humanity began. It is a sad and desolate place, and once they accept their fate, huge and mysterious dragons come to meet their fate. Surrounded by a large area of dense forest, here is another vast ice and snow wasteland. In World of Warcraft’s Wrath of the Lich King, there are many different magical legends and rumors surrounding this particular area.
You can find this special area to the south and east of Northrend. Here you’ll find the ever-popular Utgarde Keep, as well as animals such as frost wolves, nerubians, wendigos, iron dwarves, and murlocs, just to name a few. There are Horde and Alliance bases here.
This is also in the Northrend region, on the southern side of the continent, towards the eastern side of the continent. Grizzlemaws, Scourge and Thor Modan can be found in this particular area. This is a huge forest of evergreen trees, covered with snow all year round. There is no summer, spring or fall at Grizzly Falls – it’s always winter. Fortunately, it’s more of a tropical area than the rest, as it’s not completely covered in ice and snow – there are still signs of life, and the “green” Lich King in this area of Wrath of Warcraft.
This is actually an area that is considered both jungle and tropics. It’s in Northrend and can be found near Icecrown… so it’s really weird that it has such a tropical base when it’s surrounded by ice wastes. In this particular area, there are vents emitting hot, dangerous steam and even violent geysers. Here, you are unlikely to see any natural disasters as the locals work very hard to preserve the area. This begs the question…the reason the Lich King caused Northrend to freeze is because he is so evil, if he is conquered, will the freeze eventually disappear?
This is an amazing area in Wrath of the Lich King. Because it was a forest made entirely of crystals! Even the ground is made of this substance! These are magical crystals as they sing and create beautiful songs for all who enter the experience. It is believed that this particular area was created by ancient magic. There is a “big tree” in the forest, which is heavily protected and loved. You can find the Green Dragon here. Beyond that, crystal golems and even storm trolls can often be found!
This is considered a winter-filled countryside, home to many creatures in Northrend. Here, you’ll find ice trolls belonging to Drakkari, and a king who acts as the troll’s master, named Malak. It is very cold and is considered densely populated. This area is especially good for teams and guilds looking to attack together. In this particular area of Wrath of the Lich King, lone travelers don’t do well.
Here, you’ve learned about the new area of Wrath of the Lich King in World of Warcraft. If you’re looking for something new, or want to power up a new Death Knight, these zones are for you!
