Pregnancy Milestones – What To Do And When
Find out what to expect and when to expect it during pregnancy.
8-12 weeks: Due to an appointment with your midwife.
12 weeks: In some areas, you will get a neck scan or an appointment scan.
12-14 weeks: Book a National Childbirth Trust (NCT) prenatal course (0870 444 8707)
16 weeks: Antenatal blood tests and tests were performed

21 weeks: Ask for your Mat B1 form at your medical examination. This form is actually a maternity leave certificate and can be used when you receive maternity leave pay from your job.
25 weeks: Checks for new mothers; ask about NHS antenatal courses
29 weeks: Earliest start date of maternity leave
31 weeks: Prenatal check-up for mothers for the first time
33 weeks: Visit the hospital where the child was born
35 weeks: Prenatal visits; Discuss birth planning with your midwife. Remember, this is your pregnancy, your baby, and you have the right to choose to have children – remember that while health issues may dictate your fertility type, you may have to compromise!
36 weeks: Prenatal checkup and repeat blood test
37 weeks: Prepare and pack your medical kit.
38 weeks: Prenatal care
40 weeks: expiry date!
