Bloggers piss me off! Why do people necessarily think I have any interest in their personal lives and opinions? Can’t we go back to the day when they had no Internet, no Facebook, no MySpace, no personal pages…no opinions! It’s bad enough that you’re even reading anything I write. You don’t know me so why should you care what I write, but people out there with nothing to do will spend all day surfing the internet and reading this crap. Do I sound bitter? Maybe just a little, but with good reason. Look, I don’t mind at all if people feel the need to improve their business or status through social networking on the web, if it works. It’s 2009, and to keep up with the competition, you’re either in or behind. My problem is with people who blog for no other purpose than to feel important. Have a purpose!

Most of these social networking sites had a purpose in the first place, but unfortunately, it seems that more and more people have shifted their attention from the web to “Look at me!!!” people using MySpace and Facebook randomly click on them and even Names of people they don’t know or haven’t seen in 10 years so they can gloat knowing how many friends they post and who’s in their top 5. I’ve overheard comments like this all day, especially from the younger generation, and I thought to myself, if you’re really arguing about which of your friends should be in the top 5, come to me and I can slap you! Or better yet, try adding me as one of your Facebook friends so I can slap you across the web.

Well, now that I have your attention, my intention in writing all of this is not to insult anyone, but to show other bloggers that when writing an opinion, you should always end it with a purpose. Opinions are great, but there should always be a purpose! My intention is for me to catch your eye with some of my rage, insults, and pain and keep you reading. Eventually, as I type more and more into this article, you’ll see that I’m channeling something good, channeling a goal. what is that?

I work for a successful auto parts store that owes much of its success to using the Internet and other social networking sites for growth. It’s amazing how many people these days are genuinely interested in what other people write or say, even if it’s just an opinion. We’re successful because we don’t just join a phenomenon like MySpace or Facebook and say “Look at me!”, but think outside the box about ways we can use these sites to drive more business.

In almost all profiles, people like to talk about and show pictures of their favorite things, one of which is cars. jackpot! ! ! ! The database of millions of car owners is in front of me, just want to be my friend! I can tell from your pictures that you love that car of yours, so why not sell something that will make that car look better or ride better. All it takes is a happy client to introduce me to one of their many friends on Facebook or MySpace, and they’ll tell their friends, and their friends will tell some more friends, etc…etc wait wait wait…… ……! Sales are largely by word of mouth, which in 2009 could easily tap into a database of over 100 million people within minutes. So I ask you again, what is my purpose? ? ? My aim is to use catchy headlines and opening paragraphs so you end up getting enough interest in what I look like and what I’m selling! If you become my friend today, I promise I won’t cyber-hack your Facebook, and if you’re lucky, you might even become one of my first 5 clients!
