Three Steps To Killing Fleas – Or Be Eaten Alive
Do you have pets in your home? Are you being eaten alive by fleas? These usually manifest as red itchy welts on your skin. Do you know how to stop this?
The weather has changed and Southern California is hot. Now it’s time for those tiny critters called fleas to start making a plague of themselves. Fleas do not stay in one room of your house. They live and reproduce in every room of your house.
If you have a dog or cat or several dogs and cats you are a party for these creatures.
The best way to get the jump on them is to fight with a
3 STEP PROGRAM.
STEP 1 – SPRAYING YOUR HOUSE
(1) You can buy in almost any store aerosol cans that will spray flea killer in an upward fashion.
(2) Buy one for every room in your house including hallways and kitchen.
Note: Put any food or anything you don’t want to be sprayed with flea spray in the cupboards.
(3) Close all exterior doors and windows tightly.
(4) Walk around your house and put out all the cans of flea spray starting at the back and ending at the front door.
(5) Try not to breathe until you are safely outside or wearing a mask.
(6) After the spray is finished, leave the house closed for a good three hours or what the instructions say on the can.
(7) Then vacuum the dead eggs so vacuum all the carpets, furniture and curtains.
(8) Wash all your laundry on which it has been sprayed and there are flea eggs.
STEP 2 – SPRAY YOUR YARD
(1) Spray your yard while the house is closed and be free of live fleas.
(2) There are many types of flea sprays to choose from. Some you can attach to your hose and spray.
(3) Another option is to have a pest control company come out every week or twice a month to spray your yard.
Note: Your pets should not be in the house or in the yard during spraying.
(4) When you return home, leave the doors open and open all the windows immediately.
(5) Throw away all used cans of flea spray.
STEP 3 – BATH YOUR PETS
(1) The third step is to bathe all your animals either in the bathtub or outside.
(2) Another option is to take them to the pet salon.
DO ALL OF THESE 3 STEPS ON THE SAME DAY:
The main idea is to do all three steps on the same day. This way, your house will be free of fleas for about seven days.
REPEAT ALL 3 STEPS NEW IN 7 DAYS.
After the seventh day, all the flea eggs are gone and you have to start the 3-phase process again.
There are wonderful flea collars and other products on the market for your pets that work great at keeping fleas at bay.
When you have a pet and you don’t want to become a flea dinner, this is the 3 step program that will work.
Repeat the 3 steps as necessary.
